Got experience? Make it count.
Our trade pathways for experienced workers program is your solution.

Want to make your industry experience count towards getting a qualification?
If you already have experience working in the hospitality industry, you may be eligible to have your skills and previous work experience recognised through the NSW Government’s Trade Pathways Program. Simply take a skills assessment and you may be eligible for fee-free gap training.
About the program
This government funded program targets partially skilled workers, mature aged workers and women who have not previously had opportunities to gain formal trade skills.
This is a fabulous opportunity to gain a formal qualification without having to attend classes!
All those years of hard work that have not previously been recognised can now result in your achieving the formal qualification of SIT30816 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery. It’s easy!
Application and enrolment process
We will review your current and/or previous work experience and any previous qualifications to ensure you have all the necessary work experience for the SIT30816 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery. Once we have determined the relevant Units of Competency (UoCs) from this qualification, we can provide you with Recognition of Prior Learning. If there are any remaining Units of Competency that you might need to complete to gain the full Certificate, we can either assess your knowledge and skills or we can deliver them through what we refer to as ‘gap’ training.
