Participants in the Diploma of Children's Services course must have competencies in 11 modules from the Certificate III in Children’s Services or equivalent which are pre-requisites to this qualification. These competencies are listed on the course modules below.
Under the new NSW Children’s Services Regulation 2004 (Section 15 - 2e), Authorised Supervisors are required to successfully complete a course in child protection. In NSW, if a person nominated for the position of Authorised Supervisor is a holder of the CHC50302 Diploma of Children’s Services from the CHC02 Community Services Training Package, they are required to have successfully completed the competency CHCORG14B - Manage a Service Organisation to be eligible for approval as an Authorised Supervisor Click here for details.
